Zhangdeng Town, belonging to Qingyuan District, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is 13.7 kilometers south of Qingyuan district. It borders Shiqiao Township and Donglu Township in the East, Wenren town in the south, Ranzhuang town in the west, Beidian Township and Shiqiao Township in the north. Zhangdeng town gets its name because the town government is located in zhangdeng village. In 1961, Zhang Deng commune was established. In May 1984, it was transformed into zhangdeng Township, and in November of the same year, zhangdeng township was transformed into a town. As of October 2019, zhangdeng town has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages including zhangdeng, and the town people's government is stationed in zhangdeng.
