Daqingshan township is under the jurisdiction of Datong District of Daqing city. It is located in the southeast of the city, adjacent to Zhaozhou County in the southeast and Anda City in the East and North. The township government is 10 kilometers away from the urban area of Datong District. the name of Daqingshan comes from the name of Daqingshan. Originally under the jurisdiction of Zhaozhou county. In the late period of the Japanese occupation of Northeast China, welfare villages were set up. After the victory of the "93" Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was under the jurisdiction of the 12th district in 1948. In April 1956, the district township was removed and the mass township was set up. In September 1958, it was renamed the people's commune. In May 1960, it was put under the jurisdiction of Anda City and changed into laojiangshen commune in November of the same year. In June 1962, laojiangshen commune was abolished and Daqingshan commune and Zhusan commune were established. In May 1965, it was under the jurisdiction of Anda county. In April 1978, it was under the jurisdiction of Anda City (Daqing) and under the jurisdiction of Datong District. In April 1984, it was changed to Daqingshan township. Daqingshan township is a plain area. The township has a total area of 157 square kilometers and cultivated land area of 85000 mu, mainly producing grain and oil crops. It is one of the key sunflower seed producing areas in the region. The township has jurisdiction over nine villages, including Daqingshan village, laojiangshen village, Guoqiang village, Qubao village, development village, struggle village, Qingshan village and shuangfa village. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 14000, all of whom were Han nationality. The township government is located in Daqingshan village.
