Sancha town is located in the north of Wuzhai County, connecting Shanxi, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia, 32 kilometers away from the county, with a total area of 135000 mu. There are two transit railways, four trunk highways, and more than 10000 vehicles (Times) passing by every day. It is one of the important channels for transporting coal from west to East and the dry wharf for transporting materials in Northwest Shanxi.

Sancha town has a permanent population of more than 20000, including 8251 agricultural residents. The Township People's government is located in Sancha Village. The total cultivated land is 42300 mu.

Sancha town has 16 administrative villages (Sancha, Dacun, Dongzhai, xiaoliujiawan, Liuhe, jingerwa, Zhangjiaping, Yangfang, yuanzigou, nijiashan, zhangjialong, Dongjiazui, Xujiaping, yuntimao, yangjiashan, shanghuizi).

Sancha town was rated as a provincial "civilized town".

Built a coal platform, Zhuang (ER) three (fork) railway coal line transit. It has jurisdiction over 16 village committees, including Dacun, Sancha, Liuhe, Dongzhai, xiaoliujiawan, yuanzigou, yuntimao, jingerwa, shanghuizi, Dongjiazui, zhangjialong, Yangfang, Xujiaping, yangjiashan, nijiashan and Zhangjiaping. Agriculture mainly grows potatoes and millet. Township enterprises have iron wood processing, food processing and catering services. It is an important place for material exchange.
