Li Wan Town
It is a town under the jurisdiction of Liling City in Hunan Province. It is located in the northeast of Liling City, adjacent to Liuyang City and Shangli County in Jiangxi Province. National highway G106 runs through the whole town. The total area of the town is 132 square kilometers (2017). It has jurisdiction over 14 villages, Nanyuan and Haitang, with a total population of 49042 (2017). Lishan town has developed industries, mainly fireworks, mining, machinery and papermaking.

Under the jurisdiction of Li Wan Town, there are 21 villages including Nanqiao, Dongtang, Xinghuo, Tongtang, Jiangtang, Xinshu, Qingshui, Daping, Fengxing, Yumin, minglan, Shixi, Hongyuan, Huamai, Huabu, Tangfang, cheshang, Liqun, Fuli, Mashi village, Shuangjiang and 2 neighborhood committees including Haitang and Nanyuan. Historical evolution
Nanqiao: it belonged to the first district in 1950. Nanqiao township was established in 1956, Nanqiao commune was changed in 1958, Nanqiao commune was established in 1961, township was restored in 1984, and town was established in 1995. Fuli: it is said that in the early Ming Dynasty, there were only two families, Fu and Li, so they were named Fuli. Later, the surnames of Yi, pan, he and Chen moved here, and the homonym was changed to Fuli. After liberation, townships, communities and towns were named after this. Although "Fuli" was changed to the homonym "Fuli" later, the essence of its naming by surname remained unchanged.
Merging towns
On November 26, 2015, Hunan Civil Affairs Department issued the request for instructions on the adjustment of township administrative divisions in Liling City (ZZ [2015] No. 48). According to the provisions of Article 5, Article 7 and Article 8 of the State Council's "provisions on the administration of administrative divisions", after studying and reporting to the provincial people's government for approval, the reply is as follows: cancel Nanqiao and Fuli towns, establish Lishan Town, and adjust Baitu town Part of the administrative area of Tan town.
The original Nanqiao town of Nanqiao, Dongtang, Xinghuo, Tongtang, Jiangtang, Xinshu, Qingshui, Daping, Fengxing, Yumin, minglan, Shixi, Hongyuan, Huamai 14 organic villages and Nanyuan neighborhood committee, the original Fuli town of Huabu, Tangfang, cheshang, Liqun, Fuli, Mashi, Shuangjiang 7 organic villages and Haitang neighborhood committee were merged to establish Liwan town. The newly established town has 21 villages and 2 neighborhood committees, with a total area of 132 square kilometers (2017) and a total population of 49042 (2017). The town people's government is stationed in Nanqiao (the former residence of Nanqiao Town People's Government).
The Hetian, Baida and Changqing villages in Fuli town and Xinghu village in Nanqiao town were assigned to Baitutan town.
