Jiangcun township is located in the central and western part of Anyang County, between 35 degrees 57-36 degrees 21 north latitude and 113 degrees 55-114 degrees 45 east longitude, with an administrative area of 5850 hectares and a cultivated area of 3274 hectares. It governs 24 administrative villages and 28 natural villages, with a total population of 39445. Jiangcun township is a hilly area, and fenhong river runs through the central part, dividing the whole Township into North and south, with plain in the South and hilly in the north. There are many roads extending in all directions, including Anlin, Anli railway and anyao highway. Scenic spots and historic sites include the provincial cultural relics protection unit "Mahalanobis Manor", Shuangquan reservoir, etc.

In September 2011, in order to further enhance the radiation driving capacity of Shuiye Town, Xiahe village, nanmashui village, dongmashui village, ximashui village, Xupu village and Shigong village of Jiangcun town were assigned to Shuiye town as a whole.

Historical evolution

Jiangcun township was established in 1952, the commune was changed in 1958, and the township was rebuilt in 1983. In 1997, it covers an area of 52 square kilometers and has a population of 39000.
