Shahezi town is under the jurisdiction of Fangzheng county. Located in the northeast of the county, South Bank of Songhua River, Songhua River shipping with Shahezi port. The town government is 47 kilometers away from the county seat. Now it is changed into Shahezi village, which belongs to Daluo town.
brief introduction
The name of Shahezi town comes from the name of Shahezi village. In the late Qing Dynasty, there was a river in the south of Tun, which was the bottom of the sand river, so it was named "Shahezi Tun". After the victory of the "93" Anti Japanese war in 1945, Shahezi village was established, which was under the jurisdiction of the greater loremi district. In March 1956, the township was removed and put under the jurisdiction of dalomi township. At the end of 1958, it was subordinate to the new life people's commune (later changed to the greater Romeo commune). In August 1984, it was changed to Dali Luomi township. In April 1986, daluomi township was changed into daluomi town. In September 1987, Shahezi and Wahonghe villages in the north of dalomi town were designated as Shahezi town.
Economy and population
Shahezi town is close to the South Bank of Songhua River, surrounded by mountains on three sides and water on one side. The total area of the town is 150 square kilometers. The territory is rich in resources, especially considerable coal reserves. Dalianhe coal mine exports coal through special line through Shahezi port. Shahezi Port Bureau was established in 1961, gradually building Shahezi port into the largest professional coal port in Heilongjiang river system. There are 12 loading berths, 12 1000 ton barges can be docked at the same time, with an annual throughput of 1 million tons. There are also provincial enterprises Shahezi farm Department organs, Shahezi coal dispatching station, and county enterprises Fangzheng coal mine management organs. There are wood processing factories, distilleries and so on. The town has jurisdiction over Zhennan, Zhenbei and Shahezi villages. At the end of 1992, the total population of the town was 8938, of which 3197 were non-agricultural; the population of Manchu, Korean and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 2.2%. The town government is located in Shahezi village.
