Leping Town

Leping Town is a place name. There are towns with the same name in Shandong Province, Shanxi Province and Guangdong Province. Due to the influence of natural conditions and different local policy planning, there are differences in the development and construction of each town.

General situation of the town

Leping Town is located in the south of Chiping district. The town government is located 15 kilometers south of Chiping city. It was named as the central town by Shandong Provincial People's Government in 2000. In 2001, the former Haoji township was merged into the new Leping Town. It borders Zhenxing sub district office and Dulangkou town in the north, Donge County in the East and south, Hanji Township and Guangping Township in the West. National Highway 105, niuliao highway and Shuangping highway crisscross through Leping Town. It covers an area of 188867.8 mu, with a cultivated land area of 125296.2 Mu and 88 administrative villages. In 2006, the total population of the town was 53000, and the ratio of male to female was 100:105. The ethnic group was mainly Han nationality, and the ethnic minority was mainly Hui nationality, concentrated in Nanjie Village. There are 5 historical sites and 2 cultural sites are Longshan cultural sites. Lepingpu North Street is a municipal key cultural relics protection unit, and jiaochangpu is mu Guiying's training place. Tucheng village is the site of Chiping County in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Zhu Zhifan, the number one scholar in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, was a native of Zhuzhuang village in the town. He had been an envoy to Korea and wrote the manuscript of envoys to Korea, nanhuanlizhu, jishengshi, luohuashi, etc. Leping Town is located in the western plain of Shandong Province, which is a typical temperate continental climate, and the terrain is high in the West and low in the East. The terrain is flat, the soil is fertile, and the water resources are rich. Asphalt roads and water supply projects have been popularized in every village, reaching 90% in the whole town. Leping Town is a central town named by Shandong provincial government. It formulated the master plan of Lepingpu central town in 2000. Over the past few years, the town Party committee and government have been planning and building small towns in strict accordance with the spirit of relevant documents and the requirements of the overall planning, with high standards and strict requirements, and strive to build an important political, economic, cultural and transportation center in the south of Chiping. In April 2006, Shandong Lujian planning and design office was entrusted to revise the master plan formulated in 2000.

Closely around the two major themes of reform and development, we should make full use of the rich resources of agricultural and sideline products and the unique geographical advantages of the region, and strive to develop the economy through "market + base + farmers" and order agriculture. There are two professional wholesale markets for pollution-free vegetables in villages and towns, with a daily trading volume of 100000 kg. As a star town of animal husbandry in Liaocheng City, there are 46 professional villages of animal husbandry, with a stock of 19300 heads, 400000 chickens, an aquaculture area of 3200 mu, and two trading markets. It is one of the largest cattle and piglet markets in western Shandong. By the end of 2006, Leping Town had more than 5000 vegetable greenhouses, 11000 mu of open vegetables, 6000 mu of high-quality orchards, 9000 mu of fast-growing and high-yield forests, and 35 km of green channels, gradually forming the pattern of "East Forest and West vegetable". More than 40 high-quality varieties, such as sele r-139, R-144 tomato, McCabe color pepper and Dutch mini cucumber, have been introduced successively, with the average benefit of more than 10000 yuan per shed. "Lemin" brand color pepper, tomato series, cantaloupe, seedless watermelon have passed the provincial certification of pollution-free agricultural products. "Lemin" brand color pepper and tomato were rated as "the first pollution-free color pepper and tomato in Shandong Province" by the Provincial Department of agriculture.
