Regional location

Shanhe town is under the jurisdiction of Acheng District. It is located in the southeast of the District, bordering Shangzhi City in the East and Binxian County in the north. The town government is 54 kilometers away from the city.

Historical evolution

After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, it belonged to Pingshan district and then to Pingling district.

In February 1956, Zhongxing township was set up.

In September 1958, he joined Pingshan people's commune.

In 1973, Shanhe commune was set up from Pingshan commune, which got its name because of its many mountains and rivers.

In September 1984, the government and society were separated and changed to Shanhe township.

Shanhe town is located at the West foot of zhangguangcai mountain. It is a mountainous town with seven mountains, two rivers and one farmland. The total area of the town is 160.1 square kilometers, which is the largest town in the administrative area of the city, with mountain forest area accounting for 75% of the total area. Shanhe town relies on natural conditions, and its agriculture, forestry, sideline industry and tourism develop in an all-round way. There are 23000 mu of cultivated land, and food is basically self-sufficient. The diversified operation mainly includes medicine collecting, fruit tree cultivation and wicker weaving. The town run industries include machinery factory, quarry, brick factory, etc. SONGFENG mountain, located in the south of the town, is a famous scenic spot and tourist spot in the outer suburbs of Harbin.
