Yirong town is located in the west of Zijin County, 50 kilometers away from the county. Historical evolution
Yirong was originally called Er Rong. It is said that there are two big banyan trees in Weitou, which is named after Yirong. The Ming Dynasty belonged to kuandedu security society. In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to kuandedu qiaotian and yuejiaoling. In 1929, it belonged to qiaotian and Yuejiao Township, the second district. In 30, it belonged to Yirong Township, the second district. In 34, it belonged to Siwei township.
