Hainan Township, belonging to hailun City, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southeast of hailun city. It faces shuangchahe Town, keyinhe Township, Jinshan Township and Houtou township of Suiling County across keyinhe River in the East, Sanjing town of Suihua Beilin District in the south, Gongrong town in the West and Leye Township in the north. The township government is located in Hainan village. The area is 138.74 square kilometers (2018).

hydrology
Keyin river is 15 kilometers long in Hainan Township, with a drainage area of 62 square kilometers. It flows through Qunshan village, Hebei village, Dongxin village and Sanquan village. There are 99 ditches with a width of more than 5 meters in the territory. After all the water in the ditches is collected, one part flows into keyin River to the East, and the other part flows into Lianfeng reservoir to the West.
natural disaster
The main natural disasters are frost, storm and hail. The most serious one occurred on July 6, 1990, when six towns including Hainan Township, Haixing Town, Xiangfu Town, Fengshan Township and Baixiang town were hit by storm and hail for nearly an hour. Among them, the wind speed of Hainan Township reached grade 8, the thickness of hail reached 3cm, and the rainfall was 110mm. Six villages were affected, with an area of 30000 Mu and a total yield of 5000 mu. 52 houses were lost, 3 fish ponds and 6 bridges and culverts were destroyed.
