Xiadian town

Xiadian town is under the jurisdiction of Huoqiu County. Xiadian township was established in 1949, Chongfeng commune was established in 1958, and it was changed to Xiadian Township in 1983. Zhuanhong township was merged into Xiadian Township in 1992. Located in the southeast of the county, 32 kilometers away from the county.

In 2017, the administrative area of Xiadian town was 8736 hectares, with 29982 permanent residents.

It has jurisdiction over 19 village committees including Xiadian, Liqiao, zhuanfosi, huangzhuyuan (Temple City), pinglou, hedazhuang, sankutang, zhuanjing, yuanqiang, Hudian, zhuanhong, zhoutai, Min'an, Huaitai, Zhougudui, zaolingang, chenlaozhuang and hongyanqiao. In 2006, the per capita net income was 2460 yuan, and the net income of collective economy was more than 30000 yuan in 14 villages. There were 1476 party members in the town and 194 rural migrant party members. All certificates have been issued. There are 37 administrative staff and 11 retired cadres in the town. At present, there are 28 employees, 84 village cadres and 89 village leaders. It mainly produces rice, wheat and rapeseed. Township run enterprises have kilns, forest farms, iron and wood farm tools processing plants. Zhao you, a major general of the Navy and an old Red Army man, was born in Xiadian.
