Located in the southeast of Bijiang District, Tongren City, Wawu Dong township is 29 kilometers away from the urban area and 5 kilometers away from Yangtou railway station. It is the junction of seven townships in four counties (districts) of Hunan and Guizhou provinces. It borders dashuao township of Zhijiang County in the East, Xiaxi Township and aozhai township of Wanshan district and liulongshan township of Bijiang District in the west, and Yaoshi Township, Tuochong Township and Yangtou town of Mayang County in the north. Its main cash crops are rape, plum and peach. It is one of the main grain, oil and wood producing areas in Tongren City.
