Chencun

Chencun town is located 5km southeast of Jiangxian County, at the north foot of Zhongtiao Mountain and the source of Wushui river. It borders Jiangxian economic development zone and Weizhuang town in the East, gujiang town in the west, Zhongtiao Mountain in the South and Qindong highway in the north. There are County Road Weileng line, Beichen line and nearly 100 kilometers of rural roads extending in all directions, with convenient transportation, dense trees and rich resources. It is an agricultural ecological town.

Chencun town has a permanent population of 9971 (in 2017), 11 administrative villages and 63 natural villages, covering an area of 97.21 square kilometers. There is a military enterprise and its staff residential area (state-owned 5449 factory). The town has 20036 mu of arable land and 84500 mu of woodland, with a forest coverage rate of 46.5%.

In February 2017, Zhejiang Yiwu Commodity Co., Ltd. settled in qiaobeigou, dongjingxia village, our town. There are four schools and three kindergartens. In 2012, it was identified as one of the first batch of "hundred towns construction" key towns in Shanxi Province; in 2014, it was identified as a national key town by seven ministries and commissions including the Ministry of housing and urban rural development; in 2015, it was rated as a provincial health town; in 2016, it was established as a national health town.

In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name douchen village as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.

Jurisdiction area

There are 11 administrative villages in the town, including Chen Village, dongjingshang village, dongjingxia village, Guojiazhuang village, zhuozigou village, Zijia village, Hongwei village, Xiyu village, Dongyu village, chencunyu village and huageta village.

Economic industry

Around the four strategic objectives of "agricultural characteristic town, advanced science and Education Town, environmental optimization Town, and prosperous business town", Chencun town focuses on the two different areas above and below the mountain to develop animal husbandry with cattle, sheep, and deer as the main body, forest and fruit industry with hawthorn, apple, and peach as the main body, and ore mining and refining industry with mining and smelting as the main body. The effect of the three industries is obvious, forming an aircraft carrier for the town's economic development.

Animal Husbandry

There are 5000 cattle, 280 deer and 13000 sheep in the town. The per capita livestock production value was 1300 yuan.

The town has 7800 Mu peach orchard, 3200 Mu apple, hawthorn and other orchards, known as "the first town of peach garden in North China". There are 29 peach varieties, including Dajiubao, wanjiubao, Zhonghua jupan, Zaofengwang, Hongshanhu, Zhonghua Shoutao and Chunguang No.1. The products are exported to Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao and 21 inland provinces and cities.

Ore mining and refining industry

The town has copper, iron, chromium, zinc and other ore resources, a total of 8 ore mining and dressing industry, daily collection of iron ore powder up to 200 tons, there are 2 excellent tie material enterprises, can provide various types of channel steel.

In 2007, the town was named national health town by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.

The 5449 stamping plant (Shanxi stamping plant), a national famous stamping enterprise, is located in the town. The 541 railway line passes by the town. There are two reservoirs in the town, zijiayu and chencunyu.
