Wanghutun Township, belonging to Huai'an County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Huai'an County, bordering Huaian town in the East, Tianzhen County in Shanxi Province in the South and West, and Xiwanbao Township in the north. It is 27.5 kilometers away from the people's Government of Huai'an County, with a total area of 173.83 square kilometers.
In 1949, Wanghutun Township belonged to four districts of Huai'an County; in 1984, it was changed from Wanghutun commune to Wanghutun township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Wang Hu Tun was 12391. As of June 2020, Wanghutun township has jurisdiction over 26 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Wanghutun village.
