Zhaoqiao township is located 15 kilometers south of Bozhou City, Anhui Province, covering an area of 136.8 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 33 administrative villages and 238 natural villages with 8044 hectares of arable land and a population of 54180. Geographically, it is located in the center of Qiaocheng district and belongs to suburban agricultural township. It has mild climate, fertile land, convenient transportation and rich resources. There are 307 provincial road and Bofu Expressway in the East, and the only overpass in the south of Qiaocheng District in qianlihe; Beijing Kowloon Railway and Bogu road in the middle, 105 National Road in the West; meibei road runs from east to west, connecting 105 and 307.

Township situation

Zhaowanghe, longfengxinhe, meibei road and Bogu road form a double cross in zhaoqiaoji, with convenient land and water transportation. Rich in wheat, soybean, oil, corn; cotton, lotus root, watermelon, pepper, Chinese herbal medicine, vegetables for zhaoqiao township six fist industries. The annual planting area is 55000 mu of cotton, 50000 mu of watermelon, 2000 mu of lotus root, 20000 mu of pepper, 160000 mu of traditional Chinese medicine and 10000 mu of vegetables. Key enterprises include hairi chemical group, baishile biochemical company, Dakang animal and plant specimen factory and a number of seed cotton processing plants. In the whole year, there were more than 10000 migrant workers and businessmen, with an annual income of more than 60 million yuan.

Weather conditions

Located in the Huang Huai River Basin, it has a temperate monsoon climate. The annual maximum temperature is 40 ℃ and the minimum temperature is - 16 ℃. The annual average rainfall is about 840 mm, with a great range of interannual variation. The maximum annual rainfall is 1568 mm in a flood year, and only 436.8 mm in a dry year. The annual rainfall is mainly concentrated from June to August, generally accounting for 62% of the annual rainfall, and the spring and Autumn rainfall accounts for about 17% of the rainfall. The local light condition belongs to the second category in China. The frost free period is generally 210 days, and there is no obvious main wind direction throughout the year.

The gross national product of the township is 223 million yuan, the fiscal revenue is 2.69 million yuan, the per capita net income of farmers is 2490 yuan, the labor economic income is 60 million yuan, and the proportion of the three industries is 62:22:16. Culture and technology

The origin of history

According to legend, song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin rode east to inspect, just out of Bianliang, because his beloved white horse was sick and wanted to go by water, he ordered someone to dig a river, which is called Zhaowang River. The upper reaches of Zhaowang River (in Henan Province) are called Baima River in memory of Taizu Baima. It is called Zhaowang River in Anhui Province, and it is called Wohe River in Chengfu town in Bozhou. The family of Zhao, who lives on the Bank of the Zhaowang River, built a bridge on the Zhaowang River to see the dragon's face. It was named zhaoqiao. The collection of zhaoqiao got its name from this. Since ancient times, zhaoqiao has a history of more than 1000 years.
