Wolong Town is located in the southwest of Yongcheng City, Henan Province, 30 kilometers away from the city. It is adjacent to national highway 311 and Longgang Township in the north, Yaodu market and Beijing Kowloon Railway in Bozhou City of Anhui Province in the west, garlic base in Guantang town of Bozhou City in the south, and national highway 311 and Yongdeng Expressway run through the whole territory. The town has a total area of 61.64 square kilometers (2017), with 20 administrative villages, 109 natural villages, 196 villager groups, a population of about 36157 people (2017), and a cultivated land area of 54000 mu.

Historical evolution

Hongfu commune was established in 1961 and abolished in August of the same year. Hongfu commune was rebuilt in 1975 and renamed Wolong Township in 1984. At the end of 2002, it has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages, 113 natural villages and 192 villager groups, including Hongfu, Huangzhuang, panlaojia, panshuangmiao, gaohulou, Lizhuang, Weiqiao, Panqiao, yangdazhuang, dinglou, Hunhe, Panlou, Wangzhuang, Liuyuan, Yuzhuang, Liulou, Wangyuan, Yizhuang, Shiqiao, Wangxing, zongqiao and xiazhuyuan. It was withdrawn in 2013 Set up towns.

A new pattern of "Interplanting Wheat and melon into a piece, greenhouse vegetables along the route, garlic around the village, tobacco production demonstration" has been initially formed in the township.
