Majiazhuang township is located in the middle of Lvliang mountain, bordering Fangshan County of Lvliang City in the West and seven kilometers away from Loufan County in the East. Taijia line crosses from west to East, connecting Shaanxi Province in the West and Taiyuan in the East, with convenient transportation. Taigang Jianshan Iron Mine, a key project of the eighth five year plan, is located in our township. This is the hometown of the monkey king. There is the capital site of Loufan ancient country. According to the research of historical and archaeological experts, Majiazhuang township is the location of the ancient Loufan state, and now Loufan County gets its name from it. Majiazhuang township has beautiful scenery and a long history. Majiazhuang township has a total land area of 179 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of 17 administrative villages and 1 community, with 10916 permanent residents (in 2017), and 31250 mu of arable land.
