Peimian town

Located in the north of Yangchun City, Guangdong Province, and in the upper reaches of Moyang River, Pimian town has a total area of 123 square kilometers (2017) and a total population of 46701 (2017). The residents use vernacular and Yahua.

Pimian town is a "three high" agricultural demonstration town in Yangjiang City and Yangchun City. By 2013, the production and planting of high-quality grain, Huaishan, vegetables, litchi and longan in the town has begun to take shape. Pimian town is rich in mineral and hydraulic resources, of which the storage capacity of chemical stone and cement stone is about 100 million cubic meters.

Geography

The town is adjacent to Moyang River in the East, Heshui town in the south, Chuncheng town in the south, Guigang town in the west, Huatan wooden farm in the west, Songbai town and Chunwan town in the north. The town is approximately "rectangular". The terrain is high in the West and low in the East, and the west is close to the west mountain, which is a low hilly area. Xishan river flows from the north of the town to the South and joins the Moyang river which flows southward along the east side of the town. The eastern and central parts are alluvial plain. Along the edge of Moyang River, there are continuous rocky mountain belts.

Mineral deposits

There are pyrite, lead, zinc, phosphorus, coal, limestone and so on, with large reserves of pyrite, coal and limestone. In particular, the limestone belt along the West Bank of the Mojiang river has the largest reserves in the city. Scenic spots and historic sites: there are various karst landforms, dushizi cave site in the early Neolithic age, jinlongyan and ziyunyan which have been inscribed in the Yuan Dynasty.

Polder town

Huangniutouwei is 19 kilometers northeast of the county. After the establishment of peimian commune in October 1975, a new market was built at the south foot of huangniutouling. It is the seat of the town's government, covering an area of 0.7 square kilometers. It has formed a new fair town with a complete range of industries. It is the transportation center and agricultural and sideline products distribution center of the town.

Peimianwei, 5 kilometers northwest of huangniutou, is at the exit of Xishan river at the foot of Xishan Mountain. In 1918, it gradually became a market and became the distribution center of agricultural and sideline products in the western mountainous area of Yangchun.

Langziwei, 5.5km southwest of huangniutou, is located at yihelang on the Jiangxi side of Moyang. In the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, the market began to be established. Water transportation is convenient, along the Moyang River, up to chunwanwei in the north and up to the county in the south.

Perfect infrastructure

1. Transportation: land, Chuncheng to Guigang highway runs through the town. Water transport along the Xishan River from west to east straight down the Moyang river. Water and land transportation is convenient. The roads in the town are crisscross. The total mileage of cement roads is 105 km, and all the roads to the village committee have been paved with cement roads. Sanmao railway runs through the whole territory, with three railway passenger (freight) stations. It takes 2.5 hours to get to Guangzhou by taking the new high speed line (Guangzhou Xinxing Gaozhou) or Kaiyang expressway of Yangjiang line, which belongs to the "two-hour economic circle" of Guangzhou and the Pearl River Delta.

2. Industrial power consumption: the town has a sound power supply network and sufficient power. There are ready-made high-voltage lines to provide power. The industrial power consumption with the total capacity of 315 KVA and above can be calculated according to the peak valley section, and the valley section price is 0.336 yuan / kWh. Industrial power can also be directly supplied by contact with hydropower stations through negotiation (there are four hydropower stations in the territory with a total installed capacity of about 10000 kW), and the electricity price is about 0.43 yuan / kWh.

3. Other aspects: there is a water plant with a daily output of 5000 cubic meters in the town; the communication facilities are relatively perfect, which can directly install the program-controlled telephone and connect the broadband network, and the signals of China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom cover the whole town.

The enterprise is beginning to take shape

There are more than 200 self-employed enterprises in the town, including 8 large and medium-sized enterprises with an investment of more than 5 million yuan, which has formed a private economic development mode led by weaving, building materials and cement, paper making, chemical industry, fireworks, cast steel, hydropower, etc. In the early 1980s, Pimian town began to vigorously develop its industry, which has made a positive contribution to the employment of local surplus labor force. It has also created a large number of industrial workers who have mastered papermaking, steel casting, chemical engineering and other technologies, which is also the main factor to attract a large number of entrepreneurs to invest in real estate.
