Datong Town, belonging to Yongdeng County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, is located in the west of Yongdeng County, in the middle and lower reaches of Zhuanglang River, connecting Shangchuan town in the East, longquansi town in the south, Tongyuan Township in the West and Liushu Township in the north. The area is 285 square kilometers. In 2018, 26331 people registered residence.
In 1958, Datong commune was established. In 1967, it was renamed Yongjin commune. In 1971, it was renamed Datong commune. In 1983, Datong township was changed. In 2000, Datong town was changed. In June 2020, Datong town governs 13 administrative villages.
