Queren Township

Queren Township, subordinate to Mulei Kazak Autonomous County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Mulei Kazak Autonomous County, bordering kerekkuduk pasture in the East, Xinhu Township in the south, qiaoren Kazak Township in Qitai County in the West and Bostan Township in the north. The area is 1668 square kilometers. In 2018, 6732 people registered residence.

In 1950, it was under the jurisdiction of three villages in the nomadic area. In 1952, it was the third Township in the nomadic area. In 1953, it was divided into four districts and three townships. In 1954, it was the third Township in the Western Pastoral Area. In 1958, it was the fifth brigade of Dongfeng commune. During the cultural revolution, it was renamed Weidong brigade. In 1979, Wukeshu commune was established and renamed queren commune in the same year. In 1984, the township system was restored. In October 2019, queren village governs six administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 9 industrial enterprises in queren Township, and 2 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
