Daokou Town Street is located in Hua county, Anyang City, Henan Province. It is located in the northwest corner of the county, on the golden dike of the ancient Yellow River. It is adjacent to Chengguan Street in the East, Xiaopu Township in the south, Xiaohe Township in xunxian County in the West and Chengguan town in xunxian County in the north. Daokou town is located 130 km away from Zhengzhou City in the South and 70 km away from Anyang City in the north. It is the resident of Huaxian people's government and the political, economic and cultural center of the county. It covers an area of 17.9 square kilometers and 8000 mu of cultivated land.

Evolution of organizational system

On December 22, 2017, with the approval of Henan Provincial People's government, Huaxian county's administrative divisions were agreed to make the following adjustments: first, Daokou town and Chengguan town were abolished, and the urban management system was implemented. 2、 The eight administrative villages of Xiaopu Township, qianfufang, houfufang, Balizhuang, Jinzhuang, Shuanglou, Guolizhuang, hourenzhuang and Xuedian, are divided into urban management. 3、 Daokou Town, Chengguan, Jinhe and three sub district offices were set up. （1） Daokou town sub district office governs 10 administrative villages in yuandaokou Town, including Wuxing, Dongguan, Nanjie, Shunnan street, Ximen street, Shunbei street, Hexi, chengwenzhuang, Baizhuang and Junzhuang, with an area of 17.73 square kilometers and a population of 86000. The sub district office is located in yuandaokou town government.

The communities include Jiefang South Road community, Jiefang North Road community, Renmin Road community, Hongqi Road community and Weixi community. The administrative villages include Wuxing village, Dongguan village, Shunbei village, Shunnan village, Nanjie Village, Xijie village, Hexi village, chengwenzhuang village, Junzhuang Village and Baizhuang village.

History and culture

Yixing Zhangdaokou roast chicken was founded in 1661 and has been handed down for more than 300 years. It is known as "Zhongzhou famous food". In 2014, Daokou ancient town was jointly named as a famous historical and cultural town in China by the Ministry of housing and urban rural development and the State Administration of cultural relics. Huaxian section of the Grand Canal (all in the street area of Daokou town) was listed in the world historical and cultural heritage list. Up to now, the ancient town has preserved such places of interest as Dawang temple, ancient city wall, "yixingzhang" Shaoji laopu, tongheyu laopiao shop, etc., as well as business streets (Shunhe street, etc.) and many shops and residential courtyards in Qing Dynasty, which has very important historical value. There are also a large number of national and provincial intangible cultural heritages such as Huaxian woodcut New Year pictures and Huaxian Daxian opera.
