Dahe Town

Dahe Town, subordinate to Balikun Kazakh Autonomous County, Hami City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the south of the county. It is adjacent to the improved variety farm and Hongshan farm in the East, Hongxing ranch of BINGTUAN in the south, dahongliuxia Township in the west, bawaizi Township and Santanghu Township in the North. The area is 1162 square kilometers. In 2018, 19929 people registered residence.

In 1956, Dahe township was built. In 1958, Dahe commune was established. In 2001, the township was removed and the town was built. As of October 2019, Dahe Town has 8 administrative villages.

In 2018, Dahe Town has 4 industrial enterprises and 15 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with business area of more than 50 square meters.

The main rivers in Dahe Town include lanqigou, dahongqigou, xiaohongqigou, etc., with annual runoff of 10.94 million cubic meters; the groundwater is mainly supplied by river leakage, valley undercurrent, bedrock fissure and piedmont precipitation. In the East, it is located in the spring overflow zone of Balikun basin, with a large river and a spring river in Balikun County, with an annual runoff of 78.21 million cubic meters. There are two regulating reservoirs, Tuanjie and Erqu, with a total storage capacity of 21 million cubic meters.
