On February 8, 2003, Zhongyang Road street was renamed Hedong street. As of November 2018, Hedong street has a total population of 21305. As of June 2020, Hedong street has three communities under its jurisdiction.

In 2016, Hedong Street attracted 13.1 million yuan of investment. 60.1 million yuan of industrial fixed investment and 152.45 million yuan of tourism revenue were completed. 54.24 million yuan has been achieved in enterprise economy.

History of construction

After the establishment of Erguna Left Banner in 1966, it governed Genhe Town, haolibu Town, deerbur Town, Jinhe Town, Niuerhe town and Mangui Ewenki township.

On April 28, 1994, Genhe City was established, and its administrative division is still Erguna Left Banner. Genhe City has 6 towns of haolibu, deerbur, Jinhe, Niuerhe, Alongshan, Mangui, Aoluguya Ewenki Township and 3 streets of Central Hexi and Sengong road. The township and sub district offices have 112 residents committees and 811 residents groups.
