Yujiawan town belongs to Zichang City, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the north of Zichang City, adjacent to shijiapan Township in the East, yangjiayuan town and Wayaobao street in the southwest, Jianyucha town and nangoucha town in the West and North. The maximum distance from east to west is 23.5 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 8.7 kilometers, with a total area of 172.55 square kilometers.

As of June 2020, Yujiawan town has 14 administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence of the Yu Jia Wan Town was 14498. In 2011, the total sales of social commodities in Yujiawan town reached 12.8 million yuan.

Historical evolution

In the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (1796-1820), it was named after the black jade produced in Hewan.

In 1936, Xiuyan County was established to govern Hejiawan village.

In 1937, Xiuyan County was incorporated into anding County, where Yujiawan district was set up and six townships were under its jurisdiction.

In 1949, it was still a district.

In September 1958, the advanced commune was established; in November of the same year, it was renamed Yujiawan commune.

In 1984, it was changed into a town.
