Chengguan town is the old name of Fangcheng County in Henan Province. It is located in the hinterland of Fangcheng county. It is not only the seat of the county government, but also the political, economic and cultural center of the county. It is adjacent to erlangmiao Township in the East, Qinghe Township in the west, Quanqiao Township in the South and Yangji Township in the north. Panhe River, Ganjiang River and Sanlihe River cross the border, and xupingnan expressway, S103, s239, S240, s331 and other provincial roads crisscross, making it one of the more developed market towns of "nanxiangai road".
On August 18, 2011, with the approval of Henan provincial government, Chengguan town was abolished and Fengrui street and Shizhi street were established.
Basic information
The county was established in the Western Zhou Dynasty as the territory of Yuzhou. Today's county has evolved from Zengguo, Yangcheng, duyang and Yuzhou in history. With a total area of 26 square kilometers and a total population of 136000, the town governs 16 communities (villages) and 136 residential groups (management areas). There are 11 units directly under the township government. The historical sites include Lianzhen palace, zhangshizhi temple, Confucius Temple, ancient Zengguo site, etc.
Historical evolution
Chengguan District in 1949, Chengguan town in 1955, Chengguan people's commune in 1969 and Chengguan town in 1982. In 1997, it covers an area of 16.2 square kilometers and has a population of 37000. It has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages including Dongguan, Nanguan, Beiguan, zhaizhuang, Weizhuang, sanlicha, Anzhuang, Xiguan, Xinmin, Shuncheng and Nange, and four neighborhood committees including transportation, civil rights, Xinhua and Heping. on August 18, 2011, Henan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs approved the following adjustments to the administrative divisions of Fangcheng county with the approval of Henan Provincial Government: the abolition of Chengguan town and the establishment of Fengrui and Shizhi streets.

Chengguan town has about 8000 mu of cultivated land. Grain crops are mainly wheat and corn; economic crops are mainly vegetables; animal husbandry is mainly pig and poultry. The vegetable planting area of the besieged city reached 3000 mu, and the flower nursery planting area expanded to 1200 mu. There are 24 professional cooperatives. in 2010, the town's GDP reached 2.74 billion yuan; the investment in social fixed assets reached 510 million yuan; the general budget revenue was 12.92 million yuan, the per capita disposable income of residents was 13500 yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 4909 yuan.
