Yongning Town is an ancient place name, now belongs to Pan'an Town, Gangu County, Gansu Province. It is an important trade town along the ancient Silk Road and the Tang and fan ancient road. Overlooking from a high altitude, the plain Sichuan plain, the Weihe River like a belt, the village of Yan Rui, the fields well, just like a fairyland.

Yongning, an ancient town with a history of 1000 years, has been an important town of Longyou since the Han Dynasty. During the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was a strategic barrier for the separatist regime of shexiao. In the ninth year of Jianwu (AD 33), the general of the Eastern Han Dynasty came to Shehe to conquer Yongning and Luomen. All the remaining parties of shexiao regime and Tianshui counties surrendered, and Longyou region was stable. In the third year of Wude (620), Emperor Gaozu of the Tang Dynasty set up Fu state in the west of Fu Qiang and Wei state to govern Yongning County. During this period, Yongning city was the seat of Fuqiang county and Fuzhou Prefecture. In 755, the "an Shi rebellion" happened in Tianbao, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty. Because the Tang Dynasty dispatched a large number of troops to deal with Tubo to pacify the rebellion, the Western defense was empty. Tubo seized the opportunity to occupy a large area of Longyou and Hexi in the Tang Dynasty. From the first year of zongguangde in Tang Dynasty (763) to the third year of Jianlong in Song Taizu (962), it was occupied by Tubo during this period, and Wang Jing recovered Qinzhou in Later Zhou Shizong. Yongning returned to the Central Plains again. In the early Northern Song Dynasty, Yongning Town played an important role in the national strategy. In the Northern Song Dynasty, Yongning Town set up a trading market, where Westerners were good at horses and liked only tea. Musk, mercury, bezoar and Pearl come from the west, while silk, tea, gold, silver and lacquerware flow from the West. " Control tea horse trade, through "selling tea to buy horses", control the horse market of Hehuang Tubo to the Northern Song Dynasty, solve the problem of lack of horses due to the tense relationship with Liao and Xixia. In 1097, the magistrate Wang Shun built Yongning city. In 1104, Yongning County was established as Gongzhou. In 1128, Jinbing occupied Qinzhou, and Yongning Town was abandoned as Yongning Village. In Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty, Yongning set up a town. On May 21, 1718, the 57th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in Qing Dynasty, a 7.5-magnitude earthquake occurred. The earth came from the north mountain. It was more than 20 li away from each other. It was rushing across the Weihe River to the foot of the south mountain. At that time, the whole town of Yongning and dozens of villages, with fertile soil in the four fields, and tens of thousands of living beings disappeared. The ancient city with a history of more than two thousand years has since disappeared. "Yongning restless, be content with the rock" is named Pan'an, which means "the rock is like an Anshi". Now Pan'an town is in a new stage of development, which will once again present the prosperous scene of Yongning Town in the past.
