Songzhuang town

Songzhuang town of Ganyu district is close to Haizhou Bay and Ganyu city. The economic development zone of Ganyu district is located in the territory and faces Lianyungang across the sea. It is the "hometown of shrimp culture" in China.

The total area of the town is 34.2 square kilometers (2017), with 18000 mu of arable land, 12 administrative villages and 34444 people (2017). Sanyang port, a natural deep-water ice free port, has 13 kilometers of coastline, 60000 mu of supratidal zone, 50000 mu of intertidal zone, 150000 mu of shallow water, 100000 square meters of turbot factory, and is the first marine organic food base in China.

In December 2019, Songzhuang town was selected as "civilized town of Jiangsu Province in 2016-2018".
