Chuandi township is located on the Bank of the long river in the west of Zezhou County, 23 kilometers away from the urban area. It is adjacent to urban area and Nancun Town in the East, Zhoucun town in the south, Qinshui County in the West and Dadonggou town in the north, with a total area of 69.97 square kilometers. Lingqin highway passes through the countryside, and the traffic is very convenient.
The township governs 27 administrative villages, 48 natural villages, 20666 permanent residents (in 2017), 28980 mu of arable land. Rich in coal and iron resources, it is one of the key coal producing towns in Zezhou county. Coal is its leading industry, emerging surface industry and large-scale agriculture are developing rapidly. There are more than 260 industrial and commercial enterprises in the township, including coal, smelting, large-scale breeding, agricultural products processing, biotechnology, commerce and so on. Among them, there are 4 coal enterprises, and the large-scale industrial and agricultural leading enterprises include Hongxin 318, JINDA dairy, mapingtou Wantou pig farm, Zhenyuan biotechnology and so on.

since the reform and opening up, the township has achieved remarkable results in industrial structure adjustment and achieved rapid economic development. In 2010, the tax revenue of the township reached 120.16 million yuan, ranking first in Zezhou county;
