Yuanhu village, belonging to Hutubi County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the middle of the county. It is connected with cattle breeding farm in the East, Hutubi town and shitizi Kazakh nationality township in the south, Wugongtai town in the West and 111th regiment of the Sixth Agricultural Division of BINGTUAN in the north. The area is 243.83 square kilometers. In 2018, 21134 people registered residence.

In 1950, Hezhuang Township, machanghu Township and xiaguangdong Township belonged to the second district. In 1958, it was the Red Star people's commune. In 1959, it belonged to urban people's commune. In 1965, the Red Star people's commune was restored. In 1978, it was renamed people's commune. In 1984, Yuanhu village was established. In 2001, the town was built. In October 2019, Yuanhu town governs 2 communities and 12 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 11 industrial enterprises in Yuanhu village and five comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
