History and culture
It is known as "jinhoumen, yinshanwei" in history. In the early days, Houmen was just an isolated island. In ancient times, due to climate change, some tribes in the central plains were forced to move southward, and they came from the Yellow River basin to eastern Guangdong to breed. After some fishermen moved to mangyu island in the middle of Houmen port, they cut down the towering trees on the island and divided them into rafters. After drilling, they made boats, which looked like "Ou" utensils, so it was called "Ou boat". Because there are two channels on the left and right sides of the port with Baian mountain and xinjingshan mountain, it seems that two portals have been set up in the port. From then on, the reputation of "Oumen" came into being.
According to the county annals, in 1279, the Song Dynasty was defeated by the Yuan Dynasty, and the emperor min of the Song Dynasty moved to southern Xinjiang and came to the "Oumen" Nanshan. In this area, Zhuwei, xiantianjing and other villages have been built, and Weibu (ancient Weibu) has been built. In addition, they have been married with fishermen on mangyu Island, with men farming and women weaving, agriculture and fishing flourishing, reaching more than 10000 people. Time has changed, and the world has changed. The former chishi river flows into "Oumen" port through Shapu heart, and then flows into Xiaomo port through nanjunliao. After sedimentation, a large area of beach land is formed. FUJIA, a well-known businessman from Chaoshan and other places, came here to set up shop to transport seafood, salted fish, salt and agricultural and sideline products from the coastal areas to the mainland, and to transport Beijing Tianjin industrial products and Suzhou Hangzhou groceries back. Because the southwest sea is rich in houdaoyu, later people simply changed the name of Oumen to Houmen.
