Shizhuang town

Shizhuang town is located in the northeast of Qinshui County, Shanxi Province, 79 kilometers away from the county seat, adjacent to Gaoping City in the East, Shili Township in the west, Changzi County in the north and Gu County Township in the south, with a total area of 241.22 square kilometers (2017). Formerly known as Shizhuang Township, in January 2001, the township was withdrawn and merged into the town, with 17 villages under its jurisdiction. In 2002, the former Shangzhuang village and xiayangzhuang village were merged into Yangzhuang village, and xiatuanli village was merged into xiashiwan village. It has jurisdiction over 15 villages, 123 natural villages, 105 villager groups and 8670 people (2017). The cultivated land area is 1577 hectares, and the town government is located in Shizhuang village.

Agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry

With mild climate and fertile land, it is known as "granary" and "pear town". The average annual precipitation is 626.5mm, the average temperature is 10.3 ℃, and the frost free period is 195 days. It is suitable for planting wheat, corn, millet, soybean, oil and other crops. Some villages can do it twice a year. In 2002, grain output reached a record high, with a total output of 6830 tons and 540 kg per capita. Overlapping mountains and ravines are the geomorphic features of the town. The forest area is 9337.4 hectares, accounting for 35.5% of the total area. Grazing slope area is 11368 hectares, accounting for 43.7% of the total area. Therefore, the dominant industries are forestry and animal husbandry.

economic development

Since 1986, while actively introducing the reform of rural economic system in Shenzhen and constantly improving the household contract responsibility system, the town has vigorously implemented the strategy of developing agriculture scientifically. It has successively promoted more than 10 new varieties and technologies, such as red Fuji apple, high-quality crisp pear, rainbow trout, Three-way Hybrid Pig and high-quality beef cattle. The share of scientific and technological progress in economic growth has risen to 35%. In 2003, 860 large livestock and 7860 sheep were on hand at the end of the year in the town. The traditional industry, pig raising, had more obvious advantages. 9260 pigs were sold in the whole year, accounting for 19.52% of the total number of the county; 8190 pigs were on hand at the end of the year, accounting for 21.88% of the total number of the county; 17450 pigs were raised, with an average of 4.55 pigs per household, ranking first in the county. In 2003, 715 tons of all kinds of livestock products were produced, 1.5 times of that in 1986. 333 hectares of economic forests are dominated by Huangli, Suli and hongfuji apples, with a fruit yield of 1100 tons. Among them, the pear garden is 189 hectares, with an annual output of 250 tons of Huangli. Shizhuang pear is famous for its big size, thin skin, sweet taste and storability. It is sold well in Yuncheng, Linfen, Shaanxi, Henan, Hebei and other places. In 2003, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 12.5 million yuan, 1.2 times that of 1986, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1666 yuan, 4.84 times that of 1986. The territory has convenient transportation and complete infrastructure. The Beigu line of the county road leads to Gaoping through the whole town. Along the southbound of the Heidong line, it leads to Pingqu highway, the provincial road, and most of the villages are connected to cement roads.

Education and culture

There are one junior high school and 55 primary schools in the town, with more than 1600 students. The enrollment rate of school-age children is 98%. There are 1 central health center, 15 village health centers, 1 power supply station and 1 substation. The radio and TV coverage rates are 91% and 72% respectively. All villages are connected by telephone and tap water.

Hardware construction

In recent years, the Party committee and the government have united and led the people of the whole town to overcome the worst flood in a hundred years, reverse the passive situation of forest fire prevention for a long time, and vigorously strengthen urban transformation and rural infrastructure construction. The urban and rural landscape has undergone earth shaking changes, with an investment of 12 million yuan to build 17500 square meters of urban commercial and residential buildings, 12000 square meters of hardened streets and lanes, and 2500 square meters of land The square of farmers' leisure, sports and sports has built a safe drinking water project benefiting nearly 4000 people in the market town and its surrounding areas; the investment is 15 million yuan, laying 65 km of cement roads for every village, hardening 68500 square meters of streets, greening 30 km of roads for every village, and planting 3000 mu of barren hills; the animal husbandry, forestry, fruit, grain and sericulture industries are fully promoted. PetroChina, Zoomlion, greck and other coal-bed methane mining enterprises have entered our town to seek development. The national key project 1 million volt high-voltage power transmission and transformation line runs through the whole town, and the economy and society of the whole town show a good momentum of vigorous development.
