Naomaohu town

Naomaohu Town, belonging to Yiwu County, Hami City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China, is located in the north of the county, bordering Mongolia in the northeast, weizixia Township in the south, Yanchi Township and Qianshan Kazakh Township in the southwest, and Balikun Kazakh Autonomous County in the West. The area is 7701.23 square kilometers. In 2018, 4787 people registered residence.

In 1935, it was one of the six administrative villages under the Yiwu Bureau. In 1950, the District People's government was established. In the spring of 1954, weizixia was under the jurisdiction of the District, and in October of the same year, it was withdrawn as a township. In 1958, Naomaohu commune was established. In 1969, the Revolutionary Committee of Naomaohu commune was established. On June 9, 1984, the township system was restored and Naomaohu township was established. On September 26, 2001, it was approved to withdraw the township and build a town. As of October 2019, Naomaohu town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 13 administrative villages.

Historical evolution

In 1935, it was one of the six administrative villages under the Yiwu Bureau. In the 33rd year of the Republic of China (may 1944), after the implementation of the Baojia system, the place became a Baoji, and the Baogong office was stationed in wuyilai. In 1950, the District People's government was established. In 1952, another immigration village was added. In the spring of 1954, weizixia was under the jurisdiction of the District, and in October of the same year, it was withdrawn as a township. In 1958, Naomaohu commune was established. The commune management committee is stationed in the Minguang team. In 1961, the weizixia brigade was upgraded to a commune and separated from the commune. In 1969, the Revolutionary Committee of Naomaohu commune was established. In 1981, the Revolutionary Committee of the commune was abolished and the Management Committee of Naomaohu commune was restored. On June 9, 1984, the township system was restored and Naomaohu township was established. on September 26, 2001, it was approved to withdraw the township and build a town.
