History of construction
In June 1960, Liudaowan sub district office was established, located in the northeast of Urumqi.
In February 1976, it was changed into the revolutionary leading group of Liudaowan street.

In August 2002, three community residents committees of Suzhou Road, Hetan and Xinyue in Liudaowan street were assigned to Nanhu North Road street for management; two communities of Shuangyong beishanpo in Xinmin Road were assigned to Liudaowan street for management.
On February 10, 2006, according to the requirements of the administrative division adjustment of Shuimogou District, five community residents committees, including Furong, Yuncheng, Xiejing East, Lijing South and Lijing north of Liudaowan street, as well as 10 units, including Liudaowan coal mine and transportation company of Mining Bureau, were transferred to weihuliang street for management.
