Zhang Guolao, Xu Zhenjun and other famous Taoists all met here, which made Wu Fenggang a famous Taoist mountain at that time. In the Five Dynasties, Zhang Song lived in seclusion here. Li Qi and Mei Yong took song as their teacher and made great achievements in their studies. Later generations changed the name of the mountain to Li Meiling because of their contributions to the Southern Tang Dynasty. In the 13th year of Baoda in the Southern Tang Dynasty (955 AD), the temple was built on Baiyun peak. There are qingxiguan, shanhuige, yunfengzhai, tiexinan, luohanya, longnvjing and other historic sites. Many literati and poets wrote poems here. On Shanhui Pavilion, Zhou Dian wrote: "in front of Li Mei mountain, in the west of the deep valley, there are high pavilions and floating clouds. It's easy to write a book by day. A staff can walk on a ladder. A pair of nest Uighurs flew down, and countless wild apes sang back and forth. Qinghui mistakenly enters and doesn't know how to return. When will he look for his spiritual fortune again? " During the second Civil Revolutionary War, Shao Shiping, the first governor of Jiangxi Province of new China, fought in the forest of Li Meiling.
