Sayu town

Sayu town is located in the northwest of Anlong county, 33 kilometers away from the county. The total land area of the town is 126.83 square kilometers, and the existing cultivated land area is 18500 mu, including 7500 mu of paddy field and 11000 mu of dry land. It is adjacent to puping Town, Getang Town, Xinqiao Town, Longguang town and Haizi township.

On July 29, 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Sayu town as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.

The terrain of Sayu town is inclined from west to East, with great fluctuation, and the altitude is between 1197 meters and 1839 meters. The climate is mild, the average temperature is 15.9 ℃, the frost free period is 288 days, the rainfall is abundant, and the annual average rainfall is 1243 mm.

Shayu town governs 19 administrative villages and 131 villager groups with 27786 people. There are Han, Miao, Buyi, Hui, Yi and other ethnic groups, of which the ethnic minorities account for 42% of the town's population.

Sayu town is rich in ethnic customs and folk art, and Miao embroidery is exquisite. Hongdou tree, a thousand year old tree in the town, has become a beautiful scenery. Its magical legend and spectacular scene have attracted many tourists from north and south.

agricultural resource

Shayu town is rich in rice, corn, wheat and other food crops. The economic crops are mainly Yiren rice, rape and virus-free potato. Shancang seed is rich in resources. More than 7000 mu of Yiren rice is planted and more than 1000 mu of shancang seed is produced.

Forestry resources

Shayu town is rich in forestry resources with high forest coverage. The existing timber forest area is 23300 mu, and the total timber storage is 82800 cubic meters. The wild Chinese herbal medicine resources are rich, and the area to be developed is more than 3000 mu.

mineral resources

There are a lot of mineral resources in Sayu Town, mainly coal, gold, pyrite and antimony, distributed in DUWA, banyan, Shanglong, Xialong, Longsong and other villages, with a total area of more than 10 square kilometers. The total mineral storage is more than 210 million tons, of which anthracite is extremely rich, and the storage area to be developed is no less than 20 square kilometers.

More than 96% of the households in Sayu town have access to tap water. We will basically realize the "three links" in the whole town, and intensify the construction of agricultural production supporting projects such as terraces, irrigation pools, small mountain ponds and water diversion ditches, as well as the transformation of rich agricultural projects such as biogas digesters.

Transportation

In February 2004, the model road from Xinzhai, jiutou village, Shayu town to qiaodongtong village, Xin'an Town, and the roads for each village group were completed one after another, forming a road network for each group except the Mucun langtan group.

Electric power industry

In Shayu Town, 41 villager groups in seven villages have carried out rural power grid reconstruction.

Communication enterprise

There are more than 1400 ground satellite receiving stations in Sayu Town, and the radio and television coverage rate reaches 97%. With the rapid development of communication industry, more than 400 households in 15 villages have access to program-controlled telephone.

City honor
