Guomaying Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Guinan County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the northeast of Guinan County, bordering Zeku County in the East, Hexi Town and Xinjie township of guide County in the southeast, Senduo Township in the south, mugetan in the west, Longyangxia and Shagou Township in the north, with an administrative area of 1737.66 square kilometers.

By the end of 2018, 13470 people had registered residence in the town of Ma Ma Ying. As of October 2019, guomaying town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 11 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 13 industrial enterprises in guomaying town and 2 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

Around 1949, guomaying area was under the jurisdiction of Guide county.

In 1953, Guinan county was divided into xiashiduo district.

In October 1958, guomaying commune was established by merging with Zhihai township.

In 1964, it was changed to guomaying township.

In 1969, it was renamed guomaying commune.

In 1984, it was changed into a township.

In August 2001, the township was established.

Guomaying town is located in the northeast of Guinan County, bordering Zeku County in the East, Hexi Town and Xinjie Township in guide County in the southeast, Senduo Township in the south, mugetan in the west, Longyangxia and Shagou Township in the north, with an administrative area of 1737.66 square kilometers.

topographic features

Guomaying town is a part of the folded plateau of the West leaning mountains. It is located in the transitional zone from the edge of Qilian mountain to Kunlun mountain. In the town, beaches, high mountains, hills and valleys alternate with each other. The Yellow river meanders from west to East on the northern edge of the town. The terrain is high in the southeast and low in the northwest. In the southeast of the town, there are many mountains, such as qiongmen and Zhihai. The main peak of Zhihai mountain is 5011 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in the territory. The main rivers in the territory all originate here. On the southern edge, there are zarigan mountains, 4000-4600 meters above sea level. Due to the scouring and cutting of the tributaries of the Yellow River, beaches, terraces and gullies of different sizes are formed. The larger beaches are xiashiduo beach, Muge beach, Washi beach and Zade beach, with an altitude of 3100-3400 meters. Most other areas are below 3000 meters above sea level, and the lowest is 2600 meters.

There are only "cold season" and "warm season", long winter and short summer. The annual average temperature is 2.3 ℃, the extreme maximum temperature is 29.3 ℃, and the extreme minimum temperature is - 29.2 ℃. The average annual precipitation is 391 mm, mostly from July to August; the annual evaporation is more than 1300 mm; the relative temperature and humidity is 51%. The annual sunshine hours are 2703 hours and the sunshine percentage is 68%. The maximum frozen soil depth over the years is 1.49M, the freezing date is in the middle of October, and the thawing date is in the middle of April. The maximum wind speed over the years is 15.5 M / s, and the wind direction is southerly.

Guomaying water system is a tributary of the Yellow River Basin, with Shagou River, moqugou River and xiashiduo river flowing through. The current water source of the town is Yula River spring in the upper reaches of xiaqugou River, passing through Luojia village, mashigan village and guomang village from south to north.

Guomaying town has forest resources. There are natural arbor and shrub forests in moqugou forest area in the southeast of the territory, covering an area of 416300 mu. Arbor forest in addition to pines and cypresses, there are poplar, birch and so on, shrubbery mainly has golden dew plum, willow orchid and so on. The forest coverage rate of the forest area reaches 80%. There are many kinds of wild animals in the forest area. Rhododendrons of various colors are blooming with beautiful scenery, so it means "beauty forest" in Tibetan. There are many wild animals in the territory, mainly including stone chicken, pheasant, snow chicken, rock chicken, marmot, hare, lynx, rock sheep, red fox, sand fox, etc. Wild plant resources are widely distributed, and there are many kinds, such as rhubarb, Gentiana, ephedra, notopterygium, edible plants such as mushrooms, ferns and so on.

At the end of 2011, the total population of guomaying town was 14333, including 12277 ethnic minorities, accounting for 95% of the total population. There are 6503 people aged 0-14, 12000 people aged 15-59 and 3472 people aged over 60. The total population is mainly Tibetan, and there are six ethnic groups including Han, Hui, Tu and Mongolia.
