Guo Shuangcai, the deputy head of the district government, led all the district government staff and more than 30 PLA soldiers to fight back bravely. Finally, because of being outnumbered, 28 martyrs, including Guo Shuangcai, died bravely. To commemorate these revolutionary martyrs, the people's Government of Neijiang county at that time approved the renaming of huanglianpu as Shuangcai Township in 1952. The martyrs' cemetery was built in 1966. The mausoleum is located on the side hill of Shuangcai township. More than a hundred broad and straight stone stairs lead to the top of the mountain through the stone archway gate. The stone tombs of the 28 martyrs are arranged in a "Π" shape.
