Halgai town
Haergai Town, belonging to Gangcha County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located on the North Bank of Qinghai Province. The Qilian Mountains are interrupted. It is adjacent to ganzihe Township, Haiyan County in the East, Qinghai Lake in the south, Gonghe County in the south, Sanjiaocheng sheep farm in the west, and Qilian County across the mule River in the north. The area is 1729.01 square kilometers. In 2018, 10964 people registered residence.
Before 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Gangcha thousand households. In 1953, it belongs to Naren district. In 1958, it was renamed commune. In 1961, Jianxiang was founded. In 1969, it was renamed commune. In 1984, it was established as a township. In 2008, Saxiang built a town. As of October 2019, the town has one community and seven administrative villages.

Haergai town is located in the middle of Datong mountains of Qilian Mountains, with an average altitude of 3195-3400 meters. It is inclined from northwest to Southeast. In the north, there are continuous mountains, bare rocks and sparse vegetation. In the middle, there are undulating hills, crisscross valleys and complex terrain. In the south, it belongs to lakeside plain, which is a winter and spring grassland and settlement.
