Gancaodian town

Gancaodian Town, belonging to Yuzhong County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Yuzhong County. It borders Jingquan Township, Anding District, Dingxi City in the East and Southeast, Gaoya town in the south, Xinying Township in the southwest, qingshuiyi Township in the northwest and Weiying Township in the northeast. The area is 121.48 square kilometers. In 2018, 16002 people registered residence.

In 1961, Gancao Dian commune was established. In 1965, lanziling commune was incorporated. In 1983, it was changed to Gancao Dian township. In 1998, the township was removed and the town was built. In June 2020, gancaodian town governs 13 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 10 industrial enterprises in gancaodian Town, including 1 industrial enterprise above Designated Size and 13 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Gancao Dian town was established.

In 1949, it was upgraded to Gancao Dian District.

In September 1955, the district was withdrawn and the township was reduced to Gancao Dian township.

In 1958, he served as the licorice shop brigade of Gaoya commune.

In 1961, Gancao Dian commune was established.

In 1965, lanziling commune was incorporated.

In 1983, it was changed to Gancao Dian township.

In 1998, the township was removed and the town was built.
