Xigongyi town

Xigongyi Town, subordinate to Anding District, Dingxi City, Gansu Province, is located in the east of Anding District, adjacent to chaimen Township, Huining County in the East, Shiquan Township in the south, Qinglanshan Township in the west, Xinji and gejiacha Township in the north, with an administrative area of 205 square kilometers.

By the end of 2018, 19463 people had registered residence in the West Gong Yi Town. As of June 2020, 16 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of the West Gong Yi Town, and the Zhongjie Village Street government of the town government.

History of construction

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Xigong fort was set up and later changed to Bao, which belongs to Qingxi township.

In December 1949, xigongyi township was established.

In September 1951, it was changed into a district (District 5) with jurisdiction over 14 townships.

In October 1958, xigongyi commune was established.

In July 1983, the township was changed.

In October 2000, the township was removed to build a town.

Xigongyi town is located in the hilly and gully area of the Loess Plateau. The terrain is high in the West and low in the East. Most of the hills and valleys are terraces, belonging to the valley plain landform. In the middle of the town is xigongchuan, which is 20 km long and 1 km wide. The Gangou river runs through the whole town and divides the town into North and south parts. The highest point is located in baiyeliang, with an altitude of 2200 meters; the lowest point is located in the riverside Valley, with an altitude of 1735 meters.
