Zhongji town

Zhongji town belongs to Shenmu City, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northwest of Shenmu City, at the junction of Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It borders Daliuta town in the East, Sunjiacha town in the southeast, Jinjie town in the south, erlinhu town in the West and Xinjie town in Ordos City in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 36 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 23.4 kilometers, with a total area of 417.5 square kilometers.

As of June 2020, Zhongji town has 12 administrative villages. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the town was 14513. Historical evolution

In the early years, it was called jigetou, and the ground formed a basin shape. In the middle of the village, it was named Zhongji.

During the period of the Republic of China, it was a joint guarantee, and later a nationality township.

After October 1949, it belonged to ten districts.
