Xianyue Temple

The God of fordsheng, commonly known as the God of land, is a folk God with many temples, the widest belief and the greatest influence in Southern Fujian, Hong Kong, Macao and even Southeast Asian countries. Xiamen Xianyue Mountain Land Temple was built in Song Dynasty. It is the largest wood structure Land Temple in Fujian and even in China.

Zhang Fu Fu, the God of land, was intelligent and filial when he was a child. At the age of 36, he was the chief tax official of the imperial court. He was honest and upright, sympathized with the sufferings of the people, and did many good deeds. He died at the age of 102. Three days after his death, his appearance remained unchanged. A poor man built a stone house surrounded by four big stones. After a while, he turned from poor to rich. The common people believed that it was God's blessing, so they jointly built a temple and molded a gold body to worship. Therefore, businessmen often offered sacrifices to him. It has also been said that after his death, the tax officials who took over from top to bottom paid taxes, and they did everything they wanted, which made the people unbearable. At this time, the people thought of the benefits of Zhang Fu's political work, so they built a temple to offer sacrifices, and took his name and respected him as the "God of good fortune".

Worship

In the folk, the Duke of land is also regarded as the God of wealth and blessing, because the folk believe that "there is earth and wealth", so the Duke of land is regarded as the patron saint by merchants. It is said that he can also make grain harvest, so many people welcome the land lord into their homes to worship. In general, the five gods in the family hall must be dedicated to the land God. If there is no land God in the family, there are incense tables, candlesticks and offerings in front of the house on the second and sixteenth day of each month. However, most farmers worship the land lord on the first and fifteenth days of each month.
