Nianqiao town belongs to Dali County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the west of Dali County, with Chengguan town in the East, Luohe River in the South and qiangbai town across the river, Fengcun town in the West and northwest, and Xuzhuang town in the northeast. The maximum distance between East and West is 7.5 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 7 km, with a total area of 50.08 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

The name comes from the town government's original residence in dongnianqiao village.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to BEIXIANG.

In the Republic of China, it belonged to Luobin township.

In 1950, it belonged to Hanhao township.

In 1953, it belonged to nianqiao district.

In 1958, rocket commune was established.

In 1959, it was incorporated into Xuzhuang commune.

In 1960, nianqiao commune was established.

In 1984, it was changed to nianqiao township.

In 2011, nianqiao town was removed from township and built into nianqiao town.
