Wogong township is under the jurisdiction of dege County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In 1959, Yulong township was established as Wogong Township, in 1974, Wogong commune was changed, and in 1984, Wogong township was restored. Wogong township is located in the middle of the county, 115 km away from the county. It covers an area of 454.55 square kilometers and has a population of 2410 (2017). It has jurisdiction over three village committees: Gegong, Larong and Quxi. Wogong township is mainly engaged in animal husbandry, producing milk, meat, skin, plush and other products. Produce Cordyceps, Fritillaria, Anemarrhena and other precious medicinal materials. on June 17, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Wogong township.
