Kare Township
Kare township is located along the Yarlung Zangbo River on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, with an average altitude of 3800 meters. The temperature difference between day and night is large, the sunshine is sufficient, and the four seasons are not obvious. Most of the rivers are seasonal rivers, flood, debris flow and hail disasters occur frequently in rainy season. It mainly produces wheat, highland barley, pea, potato, rape, genkwa root and other crops. There are abundant wild animal and plant resources, such as apple, peach, walnut, snow lotus, Fritillaria, Rhodiola, Tibetan fennel, Tibetan angelica, etc., and wild animals such as black necked Crane, Swertia, argali, snow leopard, wild donkey, marmot, etc. The local ancient tree resources are rich, with more than 200 ancient trees more than one hundred years old. The main varieties are walnut, peach, zangchuan poplar, Sabina przewalskii, etc.
