GATA Township, Dingqing County, Tibet, is located in the northwest of Dingqing County, 120 kilometers away from the county seat. The township government is located at an altitude of 4108 meters, with a total population of 4637 (2017). It is a pure animal husbandry township. There is Bujia snow mountain in the administrative area of the township government. It is one of the highest snow mountains in Changdu City, and it is also the place where Bon believers make pilgrimage. Tens of thousands of people come to worship Bujia snow mountain every year. There is a 400 square meter high mountain lake at the foot of Bujia snow mountain, which is an excellent grassland for grazing in summer. Yongcuoka temple, a bon temple at the foot of the snow mountain, has a history of more than 400 years There is a mysterious yongcuoka Lake beside the temple. Along shangga Road, there are forest, waterfall and other tourist attractions. In 1960, GATA district was established. In March 1988, GATA township was established by withdrawing the district and merging the township. It is located in the northwest of the county, bordering Qinghai Province and Naqu region, with an altitude of 4230 meters, an area of 243 square kilometers, and a population of 3385 at the end of 2008. It is 34 kilometers away from national highway 317. It has jurisdiction over XiangZha, gongri, Jiangda, GATA and Guodong village committees. Mainly animal husbandry, the township specialty Chinese herbal medicine Cordyceps, rhubarb. The main minerals are crystal stone, copper, lead and tin, which is the largest pure animal husbandry township. At the end of 2008, there were 28513 livestock in stock. there is a hot spring 3 km away from the local government. The water temperature is 47.6 ℃, and the diameter of the spring is 30 cm. The hot spring has a swimming pool of 100 square meters, a bathroom of 60 square meters, and a big grass dam beside the hot spring. It is the best place for playing, entertainment and vacation. Buta hot spring was officially opened in June 2007. It can treat stomach diseases, arthritis, ventilation, skin diseases, etc. people come to the hot spring every day.
