Wendou town

Wendou Town, located in the southwest of Lichuan City, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province, is "the first town of flue-cured tobacco production in Hubei Province" and a big town of coal and hydropower. It borders Xianfeng County of Enshi Prefecture in the East, Qianjiang District of Chongqing in the south, Pengshui County and Shizhu County of Chongqing in the west, and Zhonglu town of Lichuan City in the north. The highest altitude is 1711.5 meters in Zhongyuan Dabao, and the lowest altitude is 315 meters in diaoeryan of masangpo village. It is also the lowest altitude in the city. There was a folk saying that "it's snowing in Zengzi mountain, it's snowing in Guandu Sihe River in June, and it's still hot on aidiba.". The favorable (Sichuan) Pengshui highway and 6 rural roads are connected with the workstations in each area, so the traffic is convenient. With a total area of more than 430 square kilometers, it governs 55 villages, 1 forest farm and more than 73000 people.

The highest point is Zhongyuan Dabao in Zhongyuan village, which is 1711.5 meters above sea level, the elevation of market town is 1090 meters, and the elevation of the outlet of Yujiang River in Changshun Valley is 315 meters. In the north, the mountains are crisscrossed, the cultivated land is rare, and the paddy field is rare; in the south, the two banks of Yujiang River are stepped gentle slopes with terrace. Changshun dam is a flat River Valley.

Wendou town has a subtropical continental monsoon climate. Because of overlapping mountains, crisscross valleys and large vertical drop, it has a great impact on climate change and has become a significant mountain climate. The low mountain has four distinct seasons, cool winter and hot summer, long frost free period, which is suitable for the growth of many crops; the second high mountain is late in spring and early in autumn, humid and rainy, and the light and temperature are uncertain, which has more restrictive factors for the development of planting industry; the high mountain has cold climate, long winter and short summer, and more sunshine, which is relatively important for the development of Coptis chinensis, Fritillaria and other medicinal materials production, cattle, sheep and other animal husbandry production, as well as the conversion of farmland to forest
