Jinbao town is located in the northwest of Jialing District, 36 kilometers away from Jialing district government, with an altitude of 327 meters. Jinbao town is located in the middle zone, with mild climate, four distinct seasons and abundant rainfall. The natural water source is Xihe River. The main food products are rice, corn, wheat and sweet potato. The cash crops are peanut, jute, rape, sericulture and citrus. The animal husbandry is mainly pig, cattle, sheep, chicken, duck and goose. The forestry coverage rate is 20%, and the town covers an area of 25.29 square kilometers (in 2017); it has jurisdiction over 36 villages, with a cultivated land area of 37000 mu. Jialing District of Nanchong crosses the riverside tractor road to Jinbao Town, about 10km long. During this period, you can visit the 9-hole waterfall through a hydropower station.

It is about 15 kilometers from Lianchi township to Taihe Township, where the road is paved by machine ploughing road. A group of ancient tombs was found in dayuegou village, Jinbao Town, Jialing District, Nanchong. More than 10 ancient tombs were built on a hillside and are well preserved. According to the preliminary textual research and analysis, this ancient tomb group has a history of at least 250 years. The burial in the main tomb may be the result of Emperor Qianlong's reading. These ancient tombs made of bluestone are carved with vivid figures, birds and animals. The carving is exquisite and the expression is delicate. In the group of ancient tombs, there is a very large main tomb, such as the tomb of nobles or officials. According to the local senior villagers, according to the old people, this tomb is a family tomb, which was built in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. There are some ancient books in the tomb that were once read by the Emperor Qianlong and who was once a member of the Imperial Academy of the Qing Dynasty. The head of Nanchong Jialing district's cultural management office said they would list the newly discovered Qing Dynasty Tombs as cultural relics for protection as soon as possible, and then carry out value appraisal. Once this ancient tomb group is found to be of great archaeological value, its protection specifications will be upgraded.
