Yangcun town

Yangcun Town, subordinate to Jiange County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, is located in the southeast of Jiange county. It is a subtropical humid monsoon climate zone with low mountain terrain. It has a total area of 39.54 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over seven village committees and one neighborhood committee, with a total population of 9105 in 2017.

During the reign of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, it became a market. During the period of the Republic of China, it was built in Yangcun township. Because there were many villages with the surname of Yang, it was named. After liberation, it was still restored in 1951 and Yangcun town was built in 1992.

On May 7, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved Guangyuan City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Cangxi County and other three counties (cfgm [2020] No. 1): Jinping township was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Yangcun Town, which was stationed at No. 120 jiaochanghou street, Long'an community.

History of construction

During the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of Qing Dynasty (1723-1735), it became a market. In 1940, Yangcun township was set up, belonging to the third district (zhibailongchang). In October 1946, Yangcun township was transformed into the first guidance area (Puan town). After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Yangcun township was set up in March 1951, under the jurisdiction of the Sixth District (zhibailongchang). In 1952, Guandian township was set up; Yangcun township was divided into the seventh district, which was renamed Heling district (zhiheling farm) in December 1955. In 1955, Qiaodian Township and Guandian Township were abolished and merged into Yangcun township. In September 1958, in order to realize the "people's communization" and implement the "integration of government and society" system, Yangcun township was changed into Yangcun people's commune. In May 1961, Qiaodian commune was set up again. In November 1966, Yang village was renamed Yingxin, and it was restored the following year. At the beginning of 1984, the grass-roots administrative districts were restructured and the government and society were separated. Yangcun commune was changed into Yangcun township. In 1992, Heling district was abolished and Yangcun Township, Qiaodian Township and Jinping Township were merged to build a new Yangcun town. In 1995, the original administrative areas of Qiaodian Township and Jinping Township were designated, and Qiaodian Township and Jinping Township were re established. The organizational system of Yangcun town remained unchanged.
