Chongzi township is under the jurisdiction of Jiangzi County, Shigatse City. It is located in the west of the county, with an area of 119.92 square kilometers and a population of 5165 people (2017). It has jurisdiction over 9 village committees.

Jiangzi County governs the township. In February 1987, the former Sibu, Chongzi and Changbu townships were merged into Chongzi township. It is 20 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 119.92 square kilometers and has a population of 5165 (2017). National Highway 318 runs across the countryside. There are nine village committees in guandajie, Wuwei, Luoding, Kangqing, Rende, yangbai, fanqiong, qiagou and Baisha. The agriculture mainly includes highland barley, wheat, pea and rape. National handicraft industry and township enterprises are relatively developed. In November 1990 and December 1992, he was awarded the title of "agricultural advanced township of the autonomous region" twice.
